This book is a series of monologues & the narrator performs with an energy that never lags. I found that some parts dragged for me, but that was mainly due to the impatience of wanting more important information to be revealed. There are so many twists but they tie very neatly together. Told in first person, it clearly relies on an unreliable narrator but you are constantly guessing which of these story-tellers is getting it wrong… or outright lying. But Dee is determined to find her sister. By the time they leave, the six year old is missing and Dees family is shattered forever. This is not a straightforward Horror story.
